Welcome to the West Australian Group Training Scheme Incorporated (WAGTS), one of the State's leading group training organizations.

The WAGTS was formed in 1991. We are a not for profit incorporated association and a registered, quality accredited, Group Training Organization (GTO) and Recognized Training Organization (RTO).

Our main objectives:

To create employment and career opportunities for young people, including disadvantaged people, by providing them with an apprenticeship or traineeship and training in the construction or hairdressing industries.

To keep all apprentices and trainees fully employed during economic downturns.

Overcome predicted skill shortages during economic upturns.

WAGTS currently employs in excess of 230 apprentices and trainees in the construction and hairdressing industries.

WAGTS has a partnership arrangement with Bizlink and is actively seeking opportunities to employ people with disabilities.

More and more businesses are discovering the benefits of using the Western Australian Group Training Scheme apprenticeship hire service.

Apprentices can be hired for as long or short a time as you require.

It is more cost-effective than employing apprentices directly - you only pay for the hours worked!

WAGTS employs the apprentices and manages their training, taking care of all the tedious paperwork.

WAGTS is one of the largest group training operators in Western Australia.  With the best-trained apprentices and the widest range of skills, we can always find the right person for your needs.
